too many snails

my tank is starting to get over run by snails....iv been out tday and bought a snail "remover" and i was wundering will this kill snails or just knock them out???

the product is;

Interpet anti snail ....ant it has a number 11 on it :):):):)


any help greatly apreciated :)

Product contians copper . Would not use it if shrimp were present and it is unclear to me what effects it may or may not have on fish or plants.
I have had good success with removing snails by wrapping a hunk of lettuce around a rock with rubber band and then laying a fish net on the substrate with said hunk of lettuce inside. Place it in the tank after lights off for the day, and in the morning,, simply pick up the net and any snails that may be present on the lettuce .
May take a few times depending on the number of snails.
Would feel far more comfortable with this method as opposed to chemicals.

Once you're done killing the snails with copper based products, watch the water parameters elevate dangerously and fish gasping around.

Just remove them manually and cut back on feeding. It'll help cut down their number but not totally eliminate them.

ok i will return the product to the shop because its unopened and il cut down on amount of food and try the veg method .....thanks :):):)
