Anyway, within a day I noticed 2 of the new horned nerites I got were mating.. they were both on top of eachother for days.. I awoke this morning and noticed my driftwood is coverd in white eggs... I read nerites don't breed unless the water is brackish... Will these eggs hatch and will I have more nerite snails ? I am not against that honestly I would love to have more... And if they do get out of controls I have assassin snails whome im sure are really hungry
So are these nerite eggs and will they hatch ? If so how long ?
They are nerites. Nerites will breed and lay eggs in freshwater(mine do). When the eggs hatch the young can not survive in freshwater.
