I had a crayfish from petsmart, it would eat snails like no tomorrrow. I think most crayfish will eat whatever they can manage to catch and eviscerate... It's that simple. I mean, they eat goldfish poop!

I found this on-line about Malaysian Trumpet snails.

An article in the Tropical Fish Hobbiest magazine dated Aug. 2009 called Taming the Malaysian Trumpet snail was a really good article about them. I'm not sure if you can call it up on-line to read the article about them or not.

Notice they list the Assassin snail as a way to keep the population down and loaches. I like Assassins snails as they do not produce waste like loaches or snail eatting fish.
