Snails LOVE Corn on the Cob...

Just thought I would share this with everyone. My golden apples, MTS, Pond, ramshorns, and nerite snails love this. It is the 1st time I have fed them this. Let me tell you..my nerites are fussy and don't eat anything but algae and algae wafers and they are all over this. The Red cherry shrimp even joined in. One olive swung from a vine from the top of the tank to come down to eat..lol

yeah i am always throwing weird food in my tanks to see what reaction I get. Apples didn't work for sure..just so you know...and they cloud up the tank like a mother.

That is so cool. Did you just toss it in raw? I might have to get some corn for my snails. They are quite the busy little eaters. I wonder if my Oto's would partake?

Well i guess I only put it in my tank with MTS and apple snails..weren't interested at all...but I dont know about RCS and nerites..you could try..just expect to do a water change soon after

It was actually corn on the cob from El Pollo Loco :).. I'm not sure how they cook it but I would assume it was boiled or steamed for a really long time. It was really mushy like. I used a knife and cut off the outer parts for me to eat..and threw them the stump. ..This is better because it would probably be hard for them to eat the rubbery outer kernel.

I also just threw another in my Discus tank to see if my bristlenose, neons, cardinals, or Discus are interested..I'll let you know how it goes..
