Snail compatibility

I searched before deciding to post, and the common answer I found was always, "What kind of snail, and what kind of cichlid?"

Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember the species of my two small cichlids.
Observe:

The employee at the fish store said there wasn't a common name for these fish, and when I got home and started Google'ing, I came to the same conclusion. (I suppose I could always be wrong though.)
They're about 2 inches long, and according to the same employee, won't grow very large.

When I went to visit my brother I was amazed at the size of his black mystery snail. The shell was as big as a ping pong ball and it's antenna must have been close to two inches.

So, my question...
Would a black mystery snail and my "mystery" cichilds get along?

I know cichilds like to nip. Antennas might look tastey.

Its hard to say until you know the species of fish your keeping with them........I think your fish might be Lamprologus brichardi..............Google some images and see if they are...............We can go from there on giving advice for snail compatibility........

Wow.
I'll be a monkey's uncle.

This really shows how long it has been since I've logged into the forum. Well, not a super long time, but a couple months.

Something made me think, "Well maybe I updated my forum signature after I bought those two fish."
Sure enough. It was there the whole time. The species is Neolamprologus Facicula.

It looks like one difference between mine and the Brichardi that was speculated is the colored spot just behind the eye. My fish don't have that.
