Shrimp ID

Blackberry Caridina babaulti is what the LFS says they are. Color might change after they settle into the tank, cause it sucks right now. BUT, they were free from a credit I had so what ev haha I LIKE SHRIMP.

The bodies are much bigger than Neos, and also two of them are holding HUGE clutches of shrimplets right now. It almost looks like an Amano shrimp berried (just smaller shrimp), way more than I have seen any Neo carry.

Thanks for the help!

PS- dont mind the purple dot on the shrimp, thats something in my iPhone lens.

I also believe it's Caridina babaulti. They lose their blue color with each successive moult. They also don't breed true. I have one, her off springs are brown. Still extremely adorable! lol. I've also found this species to be extremely tame and will eat algae wafers from your hand ^_^
