Pleco eatting snails?

I dont know if this is true, i heard they do. But i am seeing if anyone else has experienced something the same.

I have had those common pond snails in my tanks (came with new plants a long time ago), they are alive and reproducing occasionally in my 36g, and when i had a couple of 10gs set up in the garage growing plants, they were in there as well.

I allowed some into my main 75g fully planted tank cause i dont mind them. However, i dont see ANY in there anymore and no new ones from any breeding.
the tank is stocked with
5 gold angels
6 corydoras
3 otocinclus
1 clown pleco (possible culprit?)

or maybe some other reason?

let me know what you think

Well my experience with my 7 inch F common Pleco is that I have seen her grab onto a fish sitting on the bottom of the tank, and it struggle to get away.(it did) and I have also seen her disappear under the rocks with a deceased fish before I can get in there and scoop it out. I have always believed that she cleans up after all of those mysterious fish deaths (no body to be found)... maybe even was the cause of it... do not sleep in the presence of a pleco. lol
So yes while she does enjoy a algae disk or hunk of blanched Zuccini or Brocolli.... she is an omnivore.

I have been looking into this as well. I have a 55 gallon tank. 2 plecos, one albino that hasnt grown a bit since I got him a couple months ago he is still only 1 1/2 iches. The other has grown to 3+ inches already. I added a couple snails (about the size of a quarter each) recently. Just watched my bigger pleco grab the shell and shake its body like it was trying to dislodge it from the side of the tank. Then in started beating the snail with its tail. Then tried getting its mouth up under the edge of the snail. The snail held fast. This has all happened with the lights on too. Normally the pleco hangs in the shadows during light.
