I have an ivory ms and for the past week it looks like it is hveing eggs all over my tank it is the only snail in the tank and i dont know what to do i cant get a good pic but still trying

She may lay a few clutches. And as far as her being the only one, they can hold sperm for quite some time. Are u planning on hatching any? If so mske sure your prepared to house them. You can get quite a few, and thry grow quickly. BUt are the cutest lil guys. I have quite a few right now. 9 total. And my blue female should be laying eggs soon. She and my blue male have been pretty busy lately

no they look like this little dots od things all over the bottom of my tank i have sat there and watched her do it but it is not above the waterline all at the bottom and it is not poo

It must not be a mystery snail then. Mystery snails lay their eggs in clutches above the waterline. Do you have a picture of her?

How high is your waterline to the top of your tank? Is there room for her to go on walkabout and lay her eggs? It looks like you do have a golden Apple Snail, or mystery snail, and they need room above the waterline to lay their eggs. Those certainly do look like eggs, but they won't be viable. You can go ahead and vaccuum them out.

yes i left the water down 3in from the top because i read that they like to be out of the water every once in a wile

From what I can see, she def looks like an ivory Apple Snail. And those do look like eggs. However, she should be laying them above water. I'm not sure how to coax her to do so, I have never had this problem. Sadly, the eggs underwater will drown , and the eggs are no good. U might want to try another forum just for ue apple, to see if anyone there can help u get her to layt above the waterline. There are some great knowledgeable, and friendly people at applesnail.net , hope they can help u out??
