New Friends... hope these dont hurt my fish or plants to be!

I got 10 "clear" shrimps? From my grandmother tonight they have been breeding like mad in her 55G Guppy tank. And 1 Fiddler crab she was just going to give to petco.. figured better me then them.. these guys aren't going to hurt plants/ my other fish are they? Please input quickly before I put them in my display tank.. right now I put them in a QT for the next few days.

Chaos right now... Chaos tomorrow, Chaos tonight... oh the joy of Chaos!

I am not sure about the crab but the shrimp are most likely ghost shrimp they will not harm your fish or plants(but will eat dead/dying fish and fry if they get the chance) I suggest you get some short vals(forget the name but look like small things of grass) for them to go on. I'm sure others will be here to help later but that is all I know also pictures would help as well.

"Clear" shrimp definitely sounds like Ghost Shrimp... Could be another species washed out due to stress though.

I'll take some pics in the morning with my cell... and get them posted. I'd use my normal camera but can't find my USB hookups . But so far they seem to get along fine.. the fiddler crab and ghost shrimp keep running into each other lol. THe fiddler just kinda starts waddeling the other way away from the shrimp. I have some ferns planted and plan to have the tank heavily planted.

ghost shrimps get a bit big.like 4 inches in a small tank at max size they could pose a danger to the guppies esp the fry's.the long pincers are the ones that creates the most damage.

Well most of my ghost shrimp are only 1/2 to 1 inch long. The guppies aren't meant to stay in this community tank more or less I'm housing them for my grandmother.
