Name that snail - snail identification help

I got this little free loader about a week and a half ago when I bought my otos, at first I thought he was just a big peice of fish poop in the bag then I realized the gal had grabbed a baby snail too by accident. I've been keeping him in his own little container in aquarium water with some veggies until he got big enough to tell what he was before I throw him in my aquarium.

I'm getting good at identify fish but having issues finding snail identification resources. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It looks a common pond snail to me.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Darn I was hoping for something special... oh well can't get lucky all the time, would it be a bad idea to put this in my soon to be planted aquarium? Or will he just leave the plants and other stuff alone and just be an ordinary non-special snail that just chews on algae?
