Please excuse my water marks since I can't remove them. Here are some new pics of them eating a rather large pellet.

Melanoides loebbeckei

Assassin depositing an egg in an empty MTS shell. I've informed Sounguru, a friend of mine from other forums about this development as he records everything for the assassin snails. See magenta circle at the bottom for an egg laid on the glass near the sand.

Mine have been with me for 6-7 months already. I lost my second mystery snail in 6 months after a juvenile Pomacea canaliculata managed to bore a hole on its operculum (trapdoor) thus allowing one of the other brigs (after I subsequently removed the cana) to pull the foot from the shell and eat it to my horror. I still have about 80 brigs left but still.

If you want something that eats algae, stick with nerite snails.
