Mystery Snails are beautiful...

I just got a blue mystery snail, and a pink mystery snail! I was wondering how they breed? Or even how to tell the difference between sexes? Any special foods? Anything in special care?

Or even, some good threads to read?

spinach is good for their shells it's high in calcium.boil it let it cool then anchor it in the tank.they mostly eat dead plants or algae ( at least certain species do ). some might climb out of the tank if the water params are off so keep and eye on them if they start to move upwards towards the waters edge

I put some lettuce in there last night for a few hours, and the snails completely ignored it. Cruising right by it, and didnt care at all. I was wondering, does it matter what type of lettuce? I used iceburg, but the outside peices, that are more green. Should i get romain? How long do i leave it in there? Anything i can do to help them notice it?
today i got a turtle calcium block, broke it up, and dropped a piece in the tank. They havent acknowledged it yet, its been about three hours.
Ive seen snails in tanks at the LPS and their all over the calcium blocks! Also, one of my shrimp was eating the calcium block..is this okay?

sure shrimps need calcium too for their shells.give them time.most will feed the zucchini never heard of lettuce before so i can't help you with that

cucumber is also a great snail pleaser

Thanks! I put some cucumber in the tank, and waited a bit, and nothing, so I put them on it, and they ate right through the middle! Now they keep visiting the suction cup looking for more!

How often should I give them greens? And how long do I leave it in there?

when they stop feeding on it and before it spoils and disintegrate in your tank.dead matter will spike you water levels and spoil the water
