Mystery Snails ARE Apple Snails

http://www.applesnail.net/

The entire species is not banned anywhere that I am aware of. The Cana.... and a couple other species are banned almost everywhere in the US and many other countries as they easily move over land and invade everywhere eating everything, including helpful snails.

Check your states and federal rules and regulations regarding which species are illegal. Just haivng them and then having an outbreak in your area can lead to severe fines and sometimes jail time, at least in the US.
