The plant is Subwassertang. It is a really neat type of moss. Looks like saltwater seaweed. So far it does not seem any more demanding than Java Moss. It seems to be doing as well in open light as it does buried under a solid mass of Hornwort.

Glad they are doing well, they are very addicting. I bought 50 of the blue pearls a few months ago they are just starting to get colored up and start breeding I hope. Now I'm wanting green and yellow ones, it never ends.

I emptied the young guppy and molly fry out of my shrimp tank so now the shrimp have the tank all to themselves. I was looking and it almost looks like I have some that look like blue pearls. Is this possible? All I have gotten have been Red Cherries. They aren't real blue but have a very blue tint to them.

Some of the cherries can have a blue tint, the blue pearls when small are clear then they turn to a full blue. I actually just got my blues maybe a month ago. I have had my cherry shrimp colony throw blueish tint and even golden maybe 1 in every 400. As long as they have some red I wouldn't worry. They definitely couldn't have come from me as mine haven't started breeding and are in different tanks in different rooms. I normally cull any color differences to try to keep a dark red. I'm just getting started with the blues but so far the cherries have way more color when smaller.

i have some ghost shrimp in my tank for "testing" purposes. i want to see if my dwarf puffers that i have on order are going to nip at them, and if they dont i would like to add colored shrimp. do you think that it will be ok to put RCS and Ghosts together?
