I need help from someone who has grown triops.
I managed to hatch them in a clear plastic pastry tray that had been sitting outside collecting rain water. It has algae growing on the sides. There are four, ranging from 1/4" to 1/2".
I prepared a two gallon tank with play sand from an established tank and tap water that had been sitting for three days.
Upon being moved to the aquarium, they turned upside down and went into convulsions after ten minutes. I moved them back to the tray and they appear to have recovered.
It is pretty foul, even with water changes from tap water that has been in a jug for several days.
I have available water from year old aquariums and rainwater.
How can I move these guys to an aquarium where they will thrive?
Thanks,
Wayne
