Ok so, I have a 55g community/semi aggro tank with:

5 tiger barbs (2 larger 3 small)
4 zebra loaches (small)
2 mollies (large)
3-5 Molly fry (1 adolescent 3-4 babies)(just what I've seen so could be more)
6 neon tetra (medium?)
2 glass bloodfin tetra (large and I know I need more just can't find any local)
5 zebra danios
2 plecos (1 large 1 small)

And I just added about 40 ghost shrimp...

My parameters are all great, tank is planted pretty heavily, roughly 80lbs of rock with LOTS of caves and crevasses. Sand/gravel substrate. HOB filtration running 20g's over. Good water movement, healthy fish.

My largest fish's mouth is just at half the size of the smallest shrimp. But 3-4 of my fry are smaller than that.

It seems my Molly and barbs are curious but flee when the shrimp jump. My loaches don't mess with them but they live 80% of their lives out of sight.

I took the ghost shrimp from a walmart before they even introduced them to death row (why I jumped the gun) so if it turns into an expensive snack, in my mind it's better than them dying at walmart.

Anyone have any thoughts? Anything I should do to protect them? I was thinking about adding more NEW caves that aren't already loach territory. Maybe some small flower pots or some PVC fittings.

I added them to my tank and my barbs LOVED them (it took them a few days to hunt them down though. I think it was the Rosie who killed them and not the tigers though).

Well, all I can say is I hope that they didn't come with any diseases. Wa-Mart fish are notorious with that. ^^; (keep a close eye on your fish to make sure that they are all healthy)

Well, I took receipt of them before they touched a tank which is I'm assuming where most of the disease is. But I also didn't buy them as snacks. The barbs aren't really actively messing with them from what I've seen but who knows. There are plenty of great hiding places for them in my ferns, crevasses and caves but they roam around all willy nilly. I would assume they would be in hiding if they were in danger, no?
