I got me a new crab!

Having been looking for something to replace my blue lobster, who died a month or two ago, i was chatting to a chap in my local Maidenhead Aquatics, who knew i was looking for something interesting to fill the tank. They had recently taken delivery of a Rainbow Crab who, shortly after arriving, had a bad shed and lost a couple of his/her legs and a claw.

He said i could have him for free if i promised to look after him. and he's now in his new home, with a cave and some rocks/bogwood to clamber on (although he's not so good at clambering at the moment, with the legs missing and all...)

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for looking after him, particularly with the leg issues... What's the best food to chub him up for the best chance of a successful shed next time... I've heard Banana and other soft fruits, as well as some meaty cockles and some pellets. What's the best way of getting some calcium into him, as I don't think he'll eat Milky Bars...

Thanks for advice in advance!!

Toby
