Has anyone kept one of these before? What are their care requirements (diet, tank size, water parameters, temperature, etc.)? What are they compatible? Will they eat smaller fish? Thanks

I think what you are talking about is the 1foot crawfish i have a 2-7 inch electric blue crawfish but even with my cichlids he keeps to himself and there is no aggresion at all anymore but I would be concerned about putting one with angel fish as they are very aggresive and could end up killing it. all in all i love crawfish and its a good idea to get one they eat algea wafers and love nightcrawlers I haven't really tried anything else though. good luck though if you decide to get one:)

I would probably keep him by himself cause you never know when you'll get an aggressive one, they get to be 7-8 inches long I think, and need at least a ten gallon with a good lid as they climb everything. They need lots of hidey holes but will destroy plants. Sand is the preferred substrate but small gravel works too. They will eat whatever they can catch. I think they are a delight and want one desperately so I have done a lot of research. They do better in non-heated aquariums, around 65-70 degrees I think it was. Good luck ^^
