Im triple filtering some water right now to do another water change, i got my water running thru the water filter, then thru 2 britas once i have enought water im gonna change the water yet again

You need to do a 100% water change with copper free water. If you can't do that for your whole tank, put the snail in a bucket or glass and add bottled water. You can buy distilled water at grocery stores in 4 L jugs.

The copper will kill your snail. Please put him in clean water.

is tit normal for them to to that? lay on the side out of their shell? i hadnt seen him do it if he was boing it before he normally hung out by the top of the tank but today hes been laying on the bottom like in the picture he will react when the fish get close or when i touch him but he doesnt retract all the way just twich a lil and retreat a lil but then he comes out again and lays on his side ive put him right side up and he just keep topling over

i took him out and put him on a bowl with bottled water he is still just laying there on his side but i hope that will save him.

im going to go buy some distilled water and do a complete water change with that.

Bottled water regardless of what brand they are, are an absolute nono for snails. Very low hardness levels can cause your pH to crash and erode the shell badly. This seems a very tricky situation to me. If RO water was an option, I'd perhaps consider buffing the pH and hardness levels up using crushed corals, limestones or seashells. NO pH adjusting chemicals or any crap like that.

ph in the tank is 7.4, i didnt think of the ph in the bottled water he seems to be a li more active today but still moslty half hiding in his shell.

i changed my water in the tank with mineral water i figured minerals would be good for the snail, today im going the pet store to try to find some calcium for the tank, the ph on the mineral waster was right at 7 when i put it in the tank. since it has r¿gone up to 7.4

ok well i took some water to get tested to the pet store, the ph in good the ammonia an nitrite level are 0 the nitrate is at 5

how ever my hardness is really low they said it was 25ppm, and they said they keep theirs at 300ppm, well i had forgotten ther is a water softener at the house, so thats why my hardness is so low, they recomended i start doing water changes with the unsoftened water from my outside faucets, im takinig a sample to them later today to make sure it would be good for the fish and the snail.

i separated the snail into a fish bowl, i put him in the unsoftened water from the faucet treated with some tap water conditiner, he has been moving a bit more but still mostly laying on his side, im tempted to return him to the pet store so he can recuperate and live instead of making him suffer while i try to get the water right for him.
