Disease that kills only snails?
Had a weird series of deaths in my tank. Its a ten gallon heavily planted NPT, picture of it in my aquariums tab. Its been running for over four months, so its matured and the water is fine. Ive had a mystery snail for about five months, i bought it when it was already pretty big but im sure it wasnt that old. I know that my 76-78 degree water speeds up its life span, but when the snail died two weeks ago, I was pretty sure it was premature. Whats even weirder is that all of my little ramshorn snails (i had about 12 straggles that were young) ALL died within the same day or two.
While this happened, my 4 male guppies were fine. I was raising three baby white cloud minnows and now theyre bigger and fine too. The biggest proof that it wasnt a water quality problem, I have two red cherry shrimp that were fine too, and actually now I have about 8 baby RCS that popped up a week after the deaths (probably cuz my snail couldnt eat the eggs anymore).
