I don't know what it is..but I can vomit on sight of them..it's weird because it's their shell that bothers me..and love snails and other things..still debating on whether to hatch my triops..they are close to being beetles to me.

How about this one? Once on a camping trip I found one of these suckers crawling in my tent. I used a metal dust pan and whacked it about ten times and it didn't even faze it. I scooped it up & pitched it outside and it easily scuttled away. Ruined any good night's sleep I might have had on that particular trip. It's called a Lucanus mazama and they are like armored tanks. Yeeaacch. Are you now vomiting?

Well, they are alot smaller than Scarab Bettles. Just to prove that to you I sent you a Lucanus mazama in the mail today. Now aren't you sorry I know your address?? J/K

beauty like any other type of pet =) they have beetle fighting in thailand and the winner bug is cheered and respected as a champion fighter.
