I highly doubt they can harm us. Even a sting from larger ones is relatively harmless short of a little pain. They are just a pain in the neck. The only chance I can see them being harmful to humans is if someone was majorly allergic to them and then it would take running your hand across thousands of them multiple times to get enough poison to effect us. But I am guessing so please don't try it. 8)
Well. Snails do good in cold temperatures right? Well, why not cool things down 8).
