Cycled tank

Are snails as sensitive to an uncycled tank as a fish?

Consider the needs of your fish before acting on your desires.

Not in my experience. I actually had pond snails proliferate in a tank I was fishless cycling with >4.0ppm ammonia. I had Nerites in a semi-abandoned tank where the ammonia topped 1.0ppm. Didn't have any algae in that tank.
