ok last night at our highschool baseball game our right fielder found a crayfish out there. There wasnt a water source very close maybe 1-2 hundred yards away. we took home the crayfish and put it in a tank and it just floated. Are there any crayfish that dont live in water?
Sorry, don't know anything about crayfish - but googled this:
...fish capable of surviving on land, such as mudskippers, climbing perch, and walking catfish, as well as various amphibious arthropods, such as rainforest crabs and crayfish, which lead terrestrial lives, but must return to the water to release their eggs.
my brother had a pet crayfish, and it was kind of amphibious. had just enough water to swim in one part and a little eating and sleeping island on the other
