Talking Cipangopaludina chinensis

I acquired 16 wild caught Chinese mystery snails also known as Viviparus malleatus, Bellamya chinensis or Cipangopaludina chinensis. The taxonomy for these snails is such a mess but I'm hoping to clarify this mess when my database for these snails is ready. They were mistaken initially for the Pila conica which has been my target for four months so I'll request the farmer to get more of these for further studies during my summer vacation and look harder for the actual Pila conica.

Still pending are the Sulawesi snails, Marisa cornuarietis and a few more nerites.

Here they are.

Oddly this angle makes it look like a brown Pomacea diffusa.

Ho-hum...I threw all these 16 picky eaters to my pond and just be done with it. They're plain boring and don't eat anything other than algae.
