I have some freshwater red cherry shrimp in a planted 15gal long tank. I have one of those LED hoods that are white light during the day and blue at night. I didn't think LED lights lost spectrum like fluorescents do, but my green algea that the shrimp were happily feasting on has turned to brown I'm trying to figure out if its the LED lights or something else? Should I get a new light?
Also, while I'm figuring that out, I'm worried the shrimp are starving because the green algea is gone? Do they eat brown algea? Or should I be feeding them until I get the brown algae problem figured out? They do get excess flake food from the fish, but normally that's it cause they eat so much green algea.
