Bamboo shrimp feeding

So I've scoured the internet and have read a lot about the bamboo shrimp and I think I might have two problems.

Grind up food method and feed shrimp with pipette - my shrimp goes into hiding if I so much as look at him and my drift wood has a lot of hiding spots on it. How will I be sure if he even gets what I put into the tank?

Grind up food and put it into the incoming water flow - my shrimp hangs out at the opposite side of the tank near an air stone and filter feeds there. Should I try putting it at the base of the airstone and hoping he doesn't run away? Will he get used to me or are they just shy?

They will eventually get use to ya.
I would try to put the food at the base of the airstone like ya said and see. As long as your Shrimp isn't filtering the substrate he/she is getting enough food. Another thing you could try is moving your air stone next to your filter so the shrimp goes over there and feeds in the current of the filter.

I personally never feed mine. But I usually run higher flow with minimal filtration and lots of plants. So they usually have plenty of food.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

use a mortar and pestle, or if you do not have one, get a burned out lightbulb(tubular works best) and a round bowl. Take your copper free shrimp food and mix it in the bowl and get some eggshells with the membrane removed. The ratio I use is 3 shrimp food fir 1 crushed up eggshells. Begin grinding the food and eggshells together until it is a very fine powder. Then serve to shrimp. This will supplement them for calcium and feed them, this works great for filter shrimp, and is my own successful recipe. Just drop the food into the filtration discharge. You will know he(sexing Bamboo Shrimp is easy. If the two front legs are larger than the rest, then it is a male.) Is getting it by him licking his fans a lot.
