Has anyone obtained these snails yet? I'd love these snails! They may be a better alternative to reducing pond snails and MTS than fish or anything else. See pics in there for evidence.:) Apparently, these are also not so prolific and don't eat much daily either.

I trust those who had kept them, Bob, that is why I am ready to keep these if I find the opportunity to get them.;) I've already informed my friend to find those for me. See if those snails are on their list for imports. If they do, I'll get 10 depending on the price. I have a spare tank here for those just in case. Hmmm...My loaches need more pond snails and MTS to eat anyway. I better get another tank to breed these. Can't breed them in my river tanks or they'll be decimated quickly by my loaches.

Sigh, Europeans have all the awesome snails. A guy in Sweden gets tower snails, most of the UK and Europe gets the nerite type snails and now this? I wanna move to the UK now.

But nerites should be available in your place by now, Jacko. msjinkzd has olive nerites although I don't think she has bred them yet.

Yeah, I have olives available to me in my LFS but they aren't the same as the zebra nerites, and the non neritina-species "nerites" are starting to trickle into the US via aquabid and then there was a group of 10 random nerites being sold on AB but that has been all I have seen available to the US for a year now.

I have a freind up in Seattle who tried breeding olive nerites in brackish but he could get the eggs to hatch however the larvae never survived. The parent snails flourished in the brackish though, they had no chips in their shells and all that awesomeness. If anyone can do it, I figure it is jinkz with all her amazing skills. I was actually planning on picking up some olives from my LFS but I never get to that one all too often.
