Exclamation asexual ghost shrimp???

so i have one ghost shrimp left out of the original 3....at least for the last 8 weeks i have only seen the one. However during my nighttime feeding routine i was watching my ghost shrimp and it has these little gray-ish balls inside it and it seems like it is acting strange...normally it is the first one to the sinking pellets and when i am feeding my ADF it is usually all over my hand trying to get the food.after doing some googleing i found nothing that mentioned asexual behavoir but i found a photo of a shrimp carrying eggs and it seems as though this is was the gray-ish balls are.....i know female bird will lay eggs with out a male present to fertilize them.....is it the same for these guys or should i be expecting babies?!?!

Some sea creatures will store sperm packets and use them later. I wouldn't be surprised if your shrimp was fertilized back when you had others in the tank. How long ago was that?

that will probably be it. dont stress about the babies the ones that will live are usualy the strongest and will live a long life, just let them swim around and give them some cover till they get big enough to not be eaten by ur other fish

i dont mind having the babies nor do i mind if nature takes its course and some dont make it. i was just surprised that she was carrying eggs since she has been the only one for so long
