Apple snail growing...mushrooms?

On the back of my apple snails shell, there looks like what appears to be see through mushrooms. It's clear up until there's a whitish top, which could be bubbles? But they don't look like any bubble I've seen. They are tiny, probably in the hundreds?

I wonder if they're snail babies. Apparently they will graze on the shells of the parent snails to eat the algae that grows on them.
