So as the title says I am addicted to inverts. I can't stop buying apple snails and tomorrow im picking up some more shrimp. At the LFS there is this purple crab im not sure what type but its really purple and looks like an ornament lol anyway, I do want it but know nothing about crabs only they like to come out of water now and again, so I was wondering other than these what other inverts can I get? The 3 apple snails are in a 2.4 gall with 3 shrimp but two of the snails are about 5mm big which will be put in to separate tanks when they are big enough so if anything else can go in the tank which doesnt add much to the bioload please suggest lol =)

I seem to be continuously posting on this section of the forum so I apologise lol.

Thanks

Well, over there in the UK you should have pretty easy access to CPO, so you might want to give them a shot. Here's some information on them:

As for the crab...well, crabs are tricky. It's often difficult to identify the exact species you're buying, and many species require land access and aren't full-time aquatic creatures. Many of the "freshwater" crabs also prefer brackish water. Both of these make them difficult to keep in community tanks.
