Talking Well hi everyone!

Hello! My name is Danielle, but my friends call me Dani. I have been in love with fish ever since I saw my Grandpas freshwater planted and saltwater tank when I was really little, around 13 or so. When he passed away two years later, my grandma gave me his complete 29 gallon tank set up, and that is when my fish keeping really went off. I took my stepmoms WAY overstocked 10 gallon tank and at 1am in the morning, hauled out the 29 gallon from her van and set up the tank. Finally at 3 in the morning, I had the tank up and running and the fish were SO happy with all the space! (Sadly, when I had to move back with my mom, the fish couldn't come with, so I had to sell them all :( now I have the 29 gal set up again, also set up around midnight)

I also got a used 55 gallon saltwater about a month ago, which was set up from 10pm to 3am in the morning..anyone else see a pattern? Lol (Now I am changing it to freshwater, I really want to have a group of pictus!

About four years later, I now am a freshmen in college living in a one bedroom apt with my boyfriend with very limited outlet space do to my aquariums, and resisting the urge for more tanks...

Yep that's about it, I am so happy to part of this forum!

Hello and welcome to TFK

Yes apartment living can make it a little more interesting in trying to keep tanks. I have tanks set up in the living room and the bedroom, and if it wasn't for good power strips would have problems with having enough outlet spots to be able to run those. We all love to see pictures of others tanks, so when you get a chance feel free to share yours. Hope that you enjoy your time here.

Thanks guys, I tried to post some pics, but they wouldn't upload. I'll try again later though, for now I have to drag myself away from here and go to work.

hello and welcome. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
