Teacher bringing aquarium to the classroom

I'm a high school art teacher that was just gifted a lovely 10 gallon kit by a student. I'm not new to fish (as I keep a small pond) but I am fairly new to aquariums outside of my betta tank. I'll be getting two axolotls in a few months and am currently setting up and cycling a tank for that as well.

I joined primarily to learn what to stock my 10 gallon gift. I look forward to your input and guidance! Thank you!

hello and welcome.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
