hello and welcome.
what kind of aquarium are you going to get,and how big

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Do you plan to fill the tank with your tap water? If so you can test it or have a fish store test it so you know what the hardness and Ph is head of time to plan accordingly.
