A quick hello!

Just joined this forum & wanted to introduce myself, my name is DeAnne. I had tropical fish as a child & recently got back into it - about 1 1/2 years ago. I have "about" 23 tanks at the moment. Many of them are 5 gallons with just a betta & maybe a ghost shrimp or two. I also have (2) 75 gal. with a Royal Pleco, Emerald Pleco, Electric Blue Jack Dempsey & Elephant Nose. Assorted Gouramies & Black Ghost Knife in the other. (1) 40 gal with Threadfin Rainbows, Catfish, & loaches (1) 30 gal with Platies, SwordTails, Guppies & Dwarf Gouramis. (3) 20 gal., (4) 15 gal. & (2) 10 gal. Most of the smaller tanks have a betta in each along with a few friendly fish. lol

I am looking forward to reading about others fish experiences & to learn more about fish in general.

Thanks, & nice meeting you all!

Thank you Jakiebabie! LOL I admit I am a fishaholic! I will take/post pictures shortly. I love my tanks. The majority of them are in my livingroom. In the evening I have all the lights out with the exception of the fish tank lights. It looks beautiful! Very relaxing & more fun to watch than most television shows! LOL

Can't wait to see pics! I agree... I am guilty of leaving my lights on too long so I can watch them late at night. There are two great posts in here you might like... well WE like...." You know you are addicted when".... and "Aquarium and surroundings pictures" which has also turned into... see I have dogs and cats too!!
I have been in here since Dec and love it... can be found in the chat room some evenings. You can get in after posting 15 times I think. Just keep trying. Jakie

hello and welcome.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Haha I completely agree! I don't have a TV so I just sit in a chair and look at my fish...I wish I had placed my tank in a better location...as it is now, it's up against a wall next to my apartment door, and everything in my living room faces AWAY from it.

Hi DeAnne and welcome to TFK

I'm amazed at how many tanks you fit into your living room. Do you have a water change day or water change week?? LOL.

Looking forward to pics.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I have a water change every day! LOL
I do a few tanks each night. That way it really doesn't become a huge chore. I have quite a few 5 gallon tanks with just a Betta & Ghost Shrimp. They are a lot easier to maintain. It's nice to meet you all, it seems like a very interesting forum.

Thanks!

DeAnne
