newbie alert!

I decided to join this nice community today!

Name is Jason from NY, 30. I have a beautiful wife and 2 step daughters.

I just recently bought a 20 g aquarium that is cycling with 4 small zebra danios. I was into reptiles big time before this new pet keeping hobby. Geckos, skinks, red tail boa, ball pythons, king and rat snakes were part of my bachelor life. Wife in...reptiles out! The wife has a fear of snakes to give her nightmares and wasn't fond of the lizards either... Thankfully a few friends were more than happy to adopt my scaly friends.

So after 3 years without pets I decided it was time to get something all would enjoy. We all like fish so here we are!

So a warm hello to all.

Welcome to the forum.

I plan on getting a leopard gecko soon. I've had a lot of great help from a few members on this forum already but I'll know where to come if I'm left with any unanswered questions, and I'll return the favour helping you with your fish. :)

Hello Jason, and welcome to the forum

It's great to hear you got into fishkeeping since you're unable to keep reptiles any more. I think you'll find it to be a very enjoyable and rewarding hobby. Out of interest, what sort of geckos did you keep? I have a leopard gecko at the moment and would also love to see pics of yours.

Anyway, welcome! :D

Cool Beans! I know Rome. Used to pass through on the way to Salmon River every year. Hope old man winter hasnt been too rough on you out that way. Youre a bit closer to the Lake Effect Snow Belt out there.

Anyways, Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome to the forum. I was born at Griffiss AFB!!!!!! Dad was a mechanic on the very first F-86 jet fighter with 1000 flight hours. Quite an accomplishment for that day and time. Jets usually fell out of the sky or were so unsafe that they were gounded before they reached that milestone.
