Welcome Lifeb4kids to TFK!!
What size is that new tank?? How far along in the set up are you? If you haven't bought fish yet, do lots of reading in here before you do. There are profiles at the top left of the page on each species of fish showing tank mates and requirements.
Have you read this?...

Don't hesitate to ask any questions!! Good Luck... and take your time!!

Greetings to you and thanks.
I started the 25 Gal a month ago and added our starter fish for my child's BD this weekend.
I hope to add photos when I learn how and as time permits. 4 days and counting=)

Vegan diets

Hi All,

In my initial studies of fish profiles, many diet specs use wording "Vegetable matter" and specifically peas & lettuce.
(It seems like I'm giving more preparation consideration to our fish than I would our family dinners LOL), but with Gouramies, Mollies and Platties (4 total) what form of lettuce? & I read squished frozen peas - who concures? - So are canned peas out, and do I need a lettuce clip or tear into tiny pieces?
Thanks in advance!

You can resize photos for your Aquarium log using MS Paint, just select all, and resize. I always have to do that as my camera takes pics over 2 MB. To place a photo in a thread you can upload to a hosting site like imageshack or photobucket, and paste the url into the image tab in the message box. It's under the undo arrow.

HI and thanks!Very helpful.
I had given up on this site bc navigation is too time consuming.
it has been 2 months and I am happy to say not only haven't I lost my cycling fish, but 2 (unbeknown to me upon purchase) successfully gave birth. A week old purchase on the otherhand oddly was part of a splashy disturbance and apparenty knoocked itslef out upon colliding with the tank=(
