Welcome to TFK! If you came here looking for a cure for your MTS, I think you might've found the wrong place. 'Round here parts, MTS is the cure to whatever might ail ya.

Welcome to the Tropical Fish Keeping forum. Enjoy.

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. [unknown source]

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

Welcome to TFK, Lyndsey. I'm glad that by your boyfriend leaving you were able to get back to what's real and good in your life. Bring on the fish!

hello and welcome.
hopes you like it here.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Welcome to the forum! Dang are you ever lucky getting a nice big aquarium for free. I too am in danger of becoming a junky of the hobby. I would LOVE to set up a larger tank and maybe have one more like I have. There are just so many different possibilities, aren't there? Can't wait to share stories. Glad you joined.
