New starter here .

Hello, I got a 250 litre tank from a mate 4 weeks ago with about 12 fish in it . It has 6 catfish of various types and 4 panaque.

It also had 1 tiger barb who was very pissed off.

I have recently introduced another 4 tiger barbs and also 4 phantom tetras and they all seem to be setting in very well.

My next step is to introduce another species of fish Aswell as adding 2 more tiger barbs and phantoms.

I am looking for unusual fish and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I was thinking about getting angel fish but to their fins was thinking the barbs might nipple them...... I know corries and guppies are not possible .

Will Gourami be ok?

hello nick and welcome.
beware of the barbs, they can be mild or crazy nippy, and the larger the group
the better !
live plants would be a real asset to the tank,as barbs do like planted,
with swimming space.
are you able to post any pictures of the tank ?
what filter are you running ?

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
