I use those cheap $12 heaters.

They work fine, and do have a thermostat. Just leave it on all the time.

Also, test the water daily. If you have any nitrite, change it again.

Well. I have bad news.. Last night after coming home from a friends, I found my molly dead in my tank, not even floating yet. I have no idea what could have caused this.. I'm really worried for my Swordtail. I checked my water, everything is fine other than the light/heat problem.
