I love Friendly Pets. It is worth it to make the trip. I've gotten 4 koi and 2 goldfish from them. I need to make the trip again to see if they have any kuhli loaches. All we have here is a sub-par petco and petsmart. It seems to be a toss-up whether or not they've been taking care of the fish whenever I go in.

That's true, they do have very nice goldfish and koi. I was there recently and I didn't see any Kuhli loaches, but they did have it written on the glass. I would call them and check before making the trip since that's a long way from VA. Our local petsmart on Wendover Ave also has Kuhli loaches occasionally. I'd call them as well and check.

I really wanted their Red Devil that was trained to follow your finger on the glass, but it seems it was sold recently. :( They still have a Flowerhorn that will follow your finger but it's not as accurate as the Red Devil was.

The trip isn't that long. It's about an hour's drive. But I'll make sure to call around before I go. The petsmart here never has kuhli loaches. They never really have anything good.

Well, the ones here are usually good about their fish. I've found it varies from location to location. Some are horrible, others are great, some are so-so. It depends on their staff.
