New here

Hi, I am a beginner with tropical fish. I asked for and received a 30 gallon tank for Christmas from my husband. We are having some problems, which I will post elsewhere. We hope to have angel fish soon and I would like to eventually have a salt water tank. That will be when I learn what I'm doing with the fresh water tank. I have a lot of questions.

Thank you so much. I am very excited about what Santa brought and can hardly wait to start getting more fish. I will have a lot of questions, especially about caring for individual breeds and what fish get along with whom.

Welcome Bridget01. We love to see pics too!! Take a look at some of the postings to see the types of troubles we get into. Not to scare you off but to help you take the time needed to set up the tank successfully and not lose your first fish purchases. Please ask away!!

hello and welcome. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
