Welcome to the forum, its a great resource. I wouldn't mix swordtails or guppies with betta. Long fins are too tempting for hungry livebearers. Go for 2 t,anks so mom can have her classic tropicals and you can have your betta. Oh, you also need a third tank for quarantine. And might as well get #4 for babies from your livebearers. You'll probaly want a fifth tank soon after that.... then 6 and 7... .
Seriously though, if your looking to keep a few different species in the same tank, I would look at 40 gallon minimum size. Most of the species you mentioned are best kept in groups of at least 5 or so, so if you want a few different schools your looking at 55-75 gallons ideally. Of course a few swordtails or danios don't need a tank that big , but I would go for at least 40 gal. In any case just for the stability.
