New to the forum

Hello All,
Just starting out, but am excited about it. So much to learn, so much info out there, it's hard to take it all in at once.
Currently residing in CT, spent a few years in VT, cold up there & Winter lasts too long. I'm a self-employed carpenter, married, no kids, just our fish. Enjoying the site here so far, seems like a helpful place.
Just wanted to say Hi, & a little bit about myself. Talk more when I can, Nathan

Hi Nathan! Welcome to TFK. We're glad you joined us. As far as your tank and what fish you are keeping...details, we want details! And pics if you have any to share. We *love* pics.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Hi Nathan,

Welcome to the forum

I'm dreading the NE winter already. But we got the kick-butt generator hooked up so the fish won't even notice if we lose power (which i've heard happens frequently here).

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

hello and welcome.
hope you'll be very happy here with us. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Hi Nathan, and welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
