New to the fish forum
Hey there fish lovers!
I have had many tanks over the last 15 years and find that I love the hobby and my wonderful pets more each day. This summer my green terrors, who I thought were both male, had about 300 babies. The parents were already in their own tank and almost all of the babies survived. The parents were soooo good! I now have 8 of the babies in with their dad my 55 and another 10 in my 45 gal. I have four tanks set up right now (55, 30, 45, 40). I love watching all the drama that goes on and watching all my fish grow. They each have their own personality.
I recently adopted three fish that I can not ID, any help on this would be great.
One is a silver fish with a fancy tail. It almost looks like a princess cichlid but does not have any dots. It does have a black stripe over both eyes. Other then the small black stripe its totally silverish/ purple.
The other two I names checkers and baby check because they have vertical and horizontal stripes and a silverish/purple body. Checkers is about 5-6 months old and baby check is about a month. Checkers is starting to get a dark black stripe across its top fin and baby check has slightly differnt colorings (maybe they are different genders?) any help figuring out how to ID these would be great as I know nothing about them. They get along really well with eveyone else in the tank but it would be nice to know.
