I was told that at a LFS around 17 years ago, the only ones they mentioned were neons. I never made it a point to verify this it was easier not to put tetras in with cichlids since they aren't dumb enough to "poke the bear" unlike danios and barbs. I just got back into after hobby 8 years but at that time I had convicts. This time it is getting frustrating due to the town water supply ph has changed by .5 twice since I started in May.

55gallon T5 lighting 2 54w bulbs one daylight 10k, one actnic.

Yeah, I'm quite certain that they are not poisonous.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta
