Just saying hi...

Hi, my name is Kane and I'm just new to this website...
I joined because I love fish buy I don't really know many other people who do. I'm into any types of freshwater fish and I've got a few tanks set up including a tropical, cold water, betta tank and even an outdoor pond. Anyway, I look forward to having some good discussions with anyone else who loves fish...

Well you have come to the right place then!! We all love fish too and by now most of us get that "glassy eyed stare" or "omg there she/he goes again" roll of the eyes, when we talk to family. You won't get that here!!! LOL We're so glad you found the right support group. And after 15 posts you can get into the chat room. (altho it tends to be very quiet in there...) Welcome to TFK!!!

Hello Kane

Welcome to TFK. You've found a whole bunch of fish fanatics here. I look forward to chatting with you soon.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

hello and welcome.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
