Talking I'm so excited!

I'm so excited to find this community of fish folks. I have a 10g with two goldfish, one fantail and a telescope, a 55g stocked to the max with a nice mix of community fish...also a couple of oddball guys and a 75g with semi-agressive (also some oddball fellows)...also stocked well. I fell into this hobby when I found a 30g outfit a few years back and I'm hooked forever. My tanks give me serenity and a sense of pride with the accomplishment of providing a successful eco system for my fish pets. I also have Bella, my "princess" pooch, three kittys, a sneaky but sweet ferret along with my tanks, I keep busy!
I'm so happy to have a resource to go to when I have questions or just want to share!

I also make jewelry, so I'll be outfitted with a web site this year, that's my goal anyway. Then I'll be able to add that to the community....not to sell jewelry but for the use of this hobby....however my goal with the web site is to have a store. My name, "Stonesy" came from the fact that I specialize in stone jewelry versus glass or other mediums.

I'm just really thankful to have found this community!

Hi Stonesy,

Welcome to TFK Yes, fishkeeping is truly addicting and there's nothing better than the sense of accomplishment from maintaining healthy and beautiful tanks.

We're glad you found us.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

hello and welcome.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Hi Stonesy. Welcome to TFK! We are glad you found us.
Romad is right, fishkeeping is addicting. (As is collecting stones and jems)
What breed of dog is Bella? Would love to see a pic of her and some of your jewelry creations. All of us LOVE seeing pics!

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

....and HELLO to you, Auntie Kimmberly!

My pooch Bella is half rat terrier and, we think, Beagle! She has lots of personality and has me wrapped around all four pinkys!

I LOVE picts also....I'm behind in technology.....I need some sort of cable and STEPS of how to do it like a first grader.LOL! I'd love to send picts of my whole animal world! Yeah, I'd love to share! So maybe someone out there can help me and give me baby steps!

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
