Kinda nice here ain't it? We head over to Cookeville quite often too.
Where do you do your fish shopping? Since we moved here I'm running ALL OVER the place getting fish, plants, supplies....anywhere from Chatt to Nashville to Knoxville....getting kinda tired of it but can't find a 'good' store

Well, there's not alot of choice here in Cookeville. There's PETCO and then locally owned Exotic Tropicals. I've done all my buying at Exotic Tropicals( ). They're somewhat higher than PETCO, but I think you get healthier fish there. The only down side is they're selection is pretty small, but I believe they could get whatever you want. Have you ever been to Wick's Water World there in Crossville?

Oh cool, I only been there one time and the guy strongly appeared to us to NOT wanting to sell anything period, I tried speak to him 2x and then decided to leave the store

Yea most places around here can/ will take custom orders I finally found this itty bitty store on the outside of town here, has a "common" selection in the store, but places custom orders for me (considering I'm stocking 4 tanks that's some change for their register right there).

Hixson (towards Chatt) actually has 2 real cool locally owned stores too if you ever go that way.

Yeah, I go to Hixson pretty often. I sustained a severe crush injury to my foot in 05 and go to a guy there that made me a custom shoe insert. I go every 3 mo. or so for maintenance on it. Where about are those shops at and what are they called? I'll definitely check 'em out.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about your foot there, hopefully you're not in pain still all the time.

One is Fish Mania Google Maps
One is Bermuda Triangle Welcome to Bermuda Triangle
I like the 2nd better personally, they have more plant selection then the 1st one (when I was there anyway)

Then we got 2 here, which one (Wicks Water world) I can't recommend to anyone who's after healthy fish. The other one is Fins and more, don't have too much selection in store (only the 'standard' fish) but for one all they have is real healthy and they do custom orders for you if you tell them what fish you're after (which I love cause it save's me driving all over TN to 'hunt' for the fish I want lol)
Just in case you're coming our way too

There's some in Knox as well I wanna check out one these days, will let you know how they are once I went around.

Is Fins and More kinda close Wicks Water World? I've been to a pet store that's kinda on the way to Wicks. Last time I was there (its been a while) I wasn't too impressed but I didn't look a whole lot at the fish. For a while, every time you'd go, there'd be new owners. Maybe they finally have someone there who's doing a better job. I get downright angry every time I go to Wicks. Those poor critters live hard. I guess the best pet shop for fish and reptiles that I've ever been to has been The Aquatic Critter in Nashville. Everyone interested in fish and retiles should go there when in Nashville.

If you're going through Crossville on 127 south / main street; past all the shops and stuff you'll get to a intersection of 127 and Lantana (Hwy 101) and Hwy 70 - Take 70 east and he fins & more is right there at a split Rd. Follwoing 70 east down some, you'll see the Bowling Ally to your right and the other store is across from it on the left just up the hill.
Like I said pers I made NO GOOD experience with Wicks neither, so I don't go back there. I do like Fins & More thou, like I said others then the 'usual' not a whole bunch verity thou Edie keeps getting different ones in each time, but she does take custom orders, so that's a big plus to me.

Huh we gotta head to Nashville every so often for the VA, so I gotta go try find this place next time there; do you have their address by chance?
