Hi There!

To say the least I'm very new to fish aquariums. I had small tanks as a kid, but in the last year, my interest has sparked up again. I have set up a 10 gallon tank that is "my daughters" and I have a 125 gallon tank that currently has a male red eared slider and a large pleco (and the feeder platies that Red forgot to eat hehe) Anyways, I'm basically just a busy single mom trying to get by in life . I look forward to being part of this community!

Laura

Hi Laura. Welcome to TFK! Being a single mom is tough. My mom was a single mom too and I know it was really rough for her. It would have helped if she would have had a better behaved daughter.
We're glad you decided to join us!!

hi there!

Subject: Larry LaPrise dead at 93

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

pull up a chair, come on in and rest a while.
glad you chose us.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
